Policies: I accept U. S. postal money orders only. Please email me first so that a total can be calculated. Provide your zip code and tell me if you want insurance and/or a tracking number, then I will email you back with the correct total amount. If you prefer, I can list a set on eBay as a "buy it now" item, but you will need to add $2 or $3 to the price because of the fees they charge to sell. I have 173 positive comments there, with no negatives or neutrals, selling since the 1998. Everything here is subject to prior sale, and prices are subject to change without notice. There is no fee for packaging or handling. You just pay for the actual shipping cost, plus insurance and/or a tracking number, if you want them. Refunds within 2 weeks of receipt are fine, if I receive them in the same condition that they were in when I shipped them out. Shipping cost and insurance/tracking number costs are not refundable, either to you or back to me. If something is important to you, ask me first so that a return issue will not likely occur.

This is a hardbound copy of the "Bible of Backgammon," a first edition, second printing. The original cover is missing, so I made a new cover from heavy, archival , acid-free paper. In at least very good condition (from what I understand) with bumped corners and some other very minor imperfections - no writing in it, no tears or crimps). Price: $59.00. Over 400 pages!

Red Crisloid set with original brochure (not pictured), circa 1950s. Checkers are bakelite, 1 7/16 inches across. Superb condition, with original rectangular dice cups and dice; large, heavy red doubling cube with one inch sides (the white dice cube in pictured is not the one that comes with this set - it was put in there when the picture was taken by mistake). The doubling cube for this set can be seen in the picture on this page with all the dice, doubling cubes, and dice cups in it (the smaller of the two doubling cubes in that photo). As is common with old Crisloid sets, the original handle was broken off, but I had a local handyman make a new one, which is very comfortable. The case is very well made, and heavy. Comes with a key for the locks (not pictured). Very, very rare to get this kind of set in this condition. Price $135.

Made by the famous Drueke company (Model 833.10). This is a hardwood, magnetic travel set that I got as a gift and never used, so it is still in new condition. It is about 7 3/4 by 7 1/8 inches, and about 3 pounds! I saw one in a local store with a $39.95 price tag on it. Felted interior case holds the pieces & dice. Brass clasp. Price: $12.

Large Gold and Silver set. Checkers are metallic silver and gold hardwood, 1.5 inches wide, 3/8 inch high, new condition. Board is cork with paintee points, in great shape with only a couple of minor imperfections. 18 mm varnished wood doubling cube and 4 white dice (new conditon). 2 dice cups which match the set (original). The exterior is in excellent shape but some areas are a slightly different shade of the predominant color (see photo on the bottom right of this page). The top photo shows what it looks like when direct sunlight hit it, and the bottom photo is closer to what it looks like in a room with indirect light. Note that it looks a lot better in person, as my camera, or my lighting skills, are not good enough to capture how nice this looks.
$59 plus S&H.

Here are some "extra" items I can sell. The dice cups are new and very high quality (super thick plastic - over 100 grams in weight each!), with a trip ridge and green felt interior. $7.95 each. The huge 3omm per side (28.6 grams in weight) swirly red or white doubling cubes are new (rounded corners): $7.95. There are two doubling cubes, one red and one off white that are 1 inch per side, bakelite type material (about 21 grams each), about 30-40 years old and in excellent shape: $8.95 each. There is a set 4 huge dice, two red and two white, with rounded corners: $3.95 for all (about 1 inch per side, just under 20 grams each). And there is a new swirly white, 22 mm doubling cube with engraved gold-colored numbers and rounded corners: $4.95.

Circa 1930s set with swirly brown bakelite handle, cork board, and bakelite checkers, dice, and doubling cube. Incredible shape for a set of this age, with only very minor imperfections. Checkers are 1 7/16 inches across. Dice cups are of the roll-up kind and are not pictured. They are in decent shape for their age. Two of the four dice are made from green Prystal, which is transparent bakelite. Don't expect to pay less than $300 for a set like this at antique shops - this is a rare one. Price $195.00.
