Backgammon Items for sale.
Policies: U.S. postal money orders only. Please email me first so that a total can be calculated. Provide your zip code and tell me if you want insurance and/or a tracking number, then I will email you back with the correct total amount. If you prefer, I can list a set on eBay as a "buy it now" item, but you will need to add $2 to the price to cover the eBay fees. I have 173 positive comments there, with no negatives or neutrals, selling since the 1998. Everything here is subject to prior sale, and prices are subject to change without notice. There is no fee for packaging or handling. You just pay for the actual shipping cost, plus insurance and/or a tracking number, if you want them. Refunds within 2 weeks of receipt are fine, if I receive them in the same condition that they were in when I shipped them out. Shipping cost and insuuance/tracking number costs are not refundable, either to you or back to me.
Superb Catalin checker set - 1 7/16 inches across. Painted cork board is in excellent condition - doesn't look like many games were played on it. Exterior looks very nice - burlwood type of effect. Original handle was missing, so it was replaced and feels very comfortable. Dice cups are in great shape and appear to be original, along with the wood doubling cube. I included a huge 1 inch bakelite style doubler and 4 white dice with black pips (rounded corners). These checker often sell for around $100 alone on eBay, so don't miss out. What makes it even nicer than most of these kinds of checkers is that the yellow ones have brown streaks in them, which is really nice and much less common. Price: $125.
Patriotic red, white, & blue, 40 or so year old custom-made set with hardwood (maple or oak, I think, about 7 grams each) checker that are a full 1.5 inches across, with heavy green felt on the bottoms. They slide nicely on the laminated board. Heavy vinyl cover the case, which is very well made and heavy. Metal handle and a belt is used to keep it closed, which works very well. I am including two heavy plastic dice cups with trip ridges and felt on the interior bottoms, along with new transparent dice and swirly white doubling cube (22mm per side), which all fit perfectly in the places made to fit them. There are actually 16 of each checker, in case one gets lost. One of a kind item! Price: $95.00.
